Lea has asked that we no longer recap Cocktails with Patrick. :(
However, we will continue to recap Wake Up and will have more time to do a more thorough job of it. We will also start recapping He Said / She Said.
There will be some changes to the blog in the near future to accommodate Lea's request and to get some more of the other Cosmo Radio content on the blog.

ReplyDeleteLea said that they are working on some options with blogs and stuff. They also wouldn't let another fan have a Fan Page on Facebook. So much for all the hard work Casey and I have put in for their show.

ReplyDeleteI feel like I just walked up to a celebrity I love to ask them for an autograph and they told me to leave them alone. And now I won't be able to watch that celebs movies anymore without thinking about it and feeling sad. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and appreciate all the times it made me laugh my ass off at work, but I won't be able to listen to Cocktails anymore.

ReplyDeleteI'm in no way telling people not to listen to the show. I still think think the show is funny. It just changed the way I felt about it. But there are a lot of wonderful music channels as well, some even Bieber free ; )

ReplyDeleteAside from Patrick's ridiculous discomfort over the fact that anyone goes to the bathroom, I've really never been annoyed with those two or thought he was an ass or anything. And if I wanted to continue to write my own personal blog of thoughts and show commentary about every show, I could. I don't need Patrick's permission. I am a Sirius XM subscriber and I have been paying for this service for years. It's certainly not cheap when there are many free satellite radio alternatives out there. I have no desire to do that at the moment though. I was only trying to be nice and extend the fact that I had the opportunity to listen to the entire show so other people could catch what they might have missed. Because that's how much I liked the show. There are a lot of fan sites out there that do that for t.v. shows and stuff and I myself had searched for a Cosmo Radio site when I heard Wake Up talking one day about the Cocktails show where he talked about Chloe. Anyway if I helped any of you catch up on what you missed, great. I always had fun doing it.

That is horrible! You should continue to do it! You made the site for the 1000's of readers/listeners, not for two people on the show (Lea + Patrick).

ReplyDeleteThanks for all the support guys. Bottom line, it's their show... they get paid for it, I sure as hell don't. While all I really care about is you guys and covering the shows, I am not about to fight over it. Hopefully they will be coming forth with something better than the recap that will be as good to fill you guys in. If not... hmmm, we might have to revisit this in a few months. ;) Love you guys.

ReplyDeleteThanks for all your hard work in keeping the many cosmo listeners up to date on the going ons of our favourite shows. I don't generally have the need to visit the site because I record my shows, however, my radio crapped out today and erased all of the Cocks with P shows from last week that I had saved. GRR!!! I was shocked and disappointed to hear that Lea request that you not continue recapping their show. I think it's so completely ridiculous and shortsighted. As someone else pointed out, the recap is not for them and doesn't really require their permission. I know that you're trying to do the right thing in respecting their request, but I hope you will reconsider and continue providing this valuable service for all of us cosmo radio junkies.

Hey Fionnuala - We totally appreciate your love for the site. Though we don't actually need their permission I'm not really compelled to follow the show as closely anymore, so recapping would be hard. I didn't even listen to it for a few days - but then I got over myself because it makes my work day go faster. It would be really nice if they could get their official stuff up soon for all the listeners though. Sorry we couldn't help you out with what you missed!

ReplyDeleteThanks for responding. I can understand how you may have lost some of your fervor for the show. I wouldn't feel like dedicating the time it takes to do these recaps either if I received that kind of response. Don't worry, I only missed about 3 shows and I'm going to get a new radio today. I love the stiletto model because I can record my shows, but they seem to stop working within a year of purchase. At least it's under warranty!
