Here are my top 10 reasons (no particular order), strictly from my perspective, for being single:
1. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want.
2. You can eat what you want, when you want to. AND, no one will eat your leftovers!
3. You can leave your bathroom door open, make all the noises and smells you need to, read or play all the games you want for as long as you want, angle the TV towards the bathroom... or heck, put the TV IN the bathroom.
4. You can "starfish out" (as Taylor would say) and have the whole bed and all of the blankets to yourself.
5. When you need to go somewhere, you only have to get yourself ready and make sure that you are on time. If it only takes you a half hour to get ready, you don't have to get up a half hour plus an extra half hour to make sure everyone else is ready too.
6. If you are an extremely clean or extremely dirty person... who cares. You only have to deal with yourself. And if you have company, you are responsible for you and no one else.
7. Your income pays for your stuff. You don't have to buy gifts, dependent care, diapers, food or anything else for anyone else.
8. When you get dressed for an evening out or a formal event, you don't have to coordinate with anyone. You can go on with your fabulous self and whatever you want to wear.
9. YOU can decide when you want to see other people. If you want to be social, hook up with some friends or family. If you want to shut yourself in with a movie or a book... or just take a nap... You can!
10. You can own a small or large vehicle... or even a moped, motorcycle, or bicycle. You don't have to worry about having a form of transportation that can handle car seats or other people.
Although I'm married, we don't celebrate Valentine's Day. So just know that there are many out there that are in your boat and that the grass is always greener!!!
