7 Things You Need to Know Before You Go - 5/09/2011

  1. A Bondi Junction teenager who threw eggs at Justin Bieber during his performance last Friday in Sydney, Australia has been arrested for the incident. He is being charged with breaking and entering for breaking into the roof of Acer Arena, trespassing, and malicious damage. His mobile phone has been seized, amongst other items.

  2. During the Vancouver show of Charlie Sheen's "My Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour, he again denied any involvement in the 1990 shooting incident involving Kelly Preston. Preston has confirmed that this is true. Why is this even necessary to bring this up TWENTY ONE years later?
  3. MTV announced a spinoff reality TV show for The Jersey Shore's The Situation. It is currently unclear what the actual show will be about, but the pilot is scheduled to air later on this year. Snooki, JWow, and Pauly D are all also getting their own spinoff shows, as well.
  4. David Backham was in a fender bender last week while driving on a freeway in LA. The person in the other car involved in the accident had to be taken to the hospital.
  5. The Today Show has released the schedule for the Summer Concert Series, playing at Rockefeller Plaza...Rihanna will perform first on May 27th, followed by Chris Brown on July 15th, and then Cee Lo Green and Bruno Mars in the weeks to follow. New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys will take a break from their NKOTBSB tour to perform, and Lenny Kravitz will be the last to perform on September 2nd. Additional performers will be announced throughout the summer.
  6. This is not very news-worthy in my opinion, but Prince Harry recently sprained his ankle jumping from a balcony.
  7. Paula Abdul will be one of the judges on Simon Cowell's new show The X factor. So, basically, they’re moving the main aspects of American Idol, and starting a new show.
