Sorry, I had to laugh when I read that he had an announcement. I feel like he was always trying to keep us on edge with "an announcement"! But I do hope to hear something fun from him and Sean since he took the time to post on the Cocks with P Facebook page.

Cocktails with Patrick back on the air???

Patrick told the social media world today that we can expect Cocktails with Patrick to be back on Monday (November 4th). At this point, we are speculating it is probably a podcast. No official details as of yet. Stay tuned.

End of an era...

Today Cosmo Radio will go off the air forever. Taylor, Steph and Kenny will move to Stars 106 on Monday, in the same time slot they were in on Cosmo. Patrick and Sean will move to do sports on channel 92 starting on Monday, competing with Wake Up's time slot from 7-11am (EST). Dr. Jenn will be moving all of her f-bombs over to Oprah radio.

So what channel will you be on at 7:00 Monday Morning?

I've had very mixed emotions about the news that Cosmo Radio is no more. Wake Up is going to thrive  on Stars. They can be less inhibited without the Cosmo brand. I think Kenny is really going to be able to step up and be who he really is. We love him as we've gotten to know him, but now he can really do his thang! :)

And then there is Patrick. I have been listening to both Wake Up and Cocks with P since almost day 1, I have heard Patrick through many years of shit. Way back in the day, I absolutely loved him and the show. He was compassionate and solved the world's problems. I still see that in him, but along the way he picked up some ego and I can't say I like it. He and I have had words regarding him bashing the Cosmo Radio Recap (now Cosmo Happy Hour). I think he just really likes to stir the pot. I have lots of opinions, but I'll keep most to myself.

Regardless, I still love my Cosmo family that has been built over the past 7 years. I have yet to meet any of them in person, as I haven't made it to a Cosmo Con yet. Hopefully that will change next year!

I do have to THANK YOU for visiting this blog! Nearly 275,000 visits to this blog... which I haven't been good at updating at all in quite some time. I hope to change that and post more!

Big news!!

Wake up with Taylor is moving to Stars 106 as of Monday, Oct 28. Same time, same crew, different channel.

Cosmo Radio will no longer exist, and, in turn, Cocktails with Patrick will also cease to exist after this coming Friday, October 25th. 

Cosmo Happy Hour will be here indefinitely and hopefully even more in the future. Would love to post more and get more interaction with those of you who visit this site!

PGV is everywhere!

I have been seeing so many license plates with PGV lately, which, of course, reminds me of PARTY GIRL VOICE!!

Here is the car I saw this morning. I wish I had started taking pictures of all of the ones I've seen in the past week... I think it's somewhere around 6. But I am going to keep track from now on. :)

What body parts are you insecure about but guys secretly like?

Patrick was checking out a girl on the subway today. She had some cellulite, and he found it to be a turn on! He said that it is very womanly, and womanly things are hot! Women have many insecurities about their bodies, and Patrick says that these imperfections are a turn on and attractive. Ladies, let’s embrace our imperfections!

Zack called and said that he really likes women with small breasts.

Alecia called to say that Patrick would lose points for telling a girl he liked her cellulite. She also said that he would gain points by complimenting a pregnant woman on her curves. Brooke from Ohio called. She quit smoking and gained quite a bit of weight. She’s been dealing with some self esteem issues. Brooke wanted to thank Patrick for saying that curves are attractive. Pamela in Canada called and her boyfriend really likes the fat that hangs down from her arms.

Patrick in Alabama doesn’t find super skinny girls attractive. Lea brought up the point that it is difficult to have nice, beautiful curves. Christy from Montana called. Her husband is a miner, and loves to see him come home after work all dirty. It’s very manly and sexy. Quite a few calls came in regarding hair. Sarah likes toe hair on men. Kimberly in Louisiana has a husband with hairy chest. He sheds in the bathroom-she finds tons of hair there! Shannon emailed the show and she doesn’t mind hair, unless he’s a wooly mammoth. Melissa in Massachusetts loves men with beards. She used to not like facial hair, but she has grown to like it over the past five years. Overall, ladies prefer hair on their man, rather than one who manscapes too much.

Jared called in with a question. His 12th anniversary is coming up next week. He wants to sing for his wife at a restaurant (Joe‘s Crab Shack to be exact). Is that an okay thing to do? Lea thinks it would be embarrassing, but also romantic. Kate in Boston says that if he’s a good singer, go for it! Sarah from Nashville says NO! It would totally awkward for him, his wife, and the rest of the people in the restaurant. Kim says it’s a very sweet gesture. Linda in CA thinks it would be cool, but she would wonder if he’s doing it for his wife, or really for attention to himself. Molly wanted to know why he isn’t taking his wife to a nicer place for their anniversary. Overall, people are for Jared singing to his wife at Joe’s Crab Shack. Callers think it’s a sweet, meaningful, memorable experience. It does not substitute for a gift, though!

Towards the end of the show, Patrick performed some amazing barnyard remixes! Gotta love the barnyard!

Patrick had a great quote at the beginning of the show: “If you have enemies, that means you stood for something, and you should be proud of that.”

Jnutmeg sent a salty email about the wedding talk on Monday’s show. She didn’t like Patrick’s gift idea, him bringing a date, the RSVP situation, etc. Listeners began calling and were standing up for YB! Lots of responses-us cosmo gals (and guys) love Patrick!

Lea had the opportunity to attend the red carpet and party for the release of the Jersey Shore Soundtrack. She said it was a great evening, but the weather was very hot. Despite the heat, everyone was dressed to the nines! The event was held at a fabulous club in NYC. Lea got to talk with several attendees. Here are some of the people she talked to and what they said:

Mike “The Situation” has a song coming out.

Snooki: Lea asked her if a bar is a good place to meet guys. Snooki said no, and that a bar is a place to hook up with someone. Good places to meet guys include the library, the deli, or a pizzeria-that’s where the men are! Lea also asked Snooki about her post Jersey Shore plans. Snooki said that she is not a singer, but will probably try comedy, writing a book, developing a hair product line, and lots of other things that are in the works. She also said that Miami was insane with partying and very intense.

Lil Jon: His favorite shots are vodka or Patron, and his favorite club song is “Shots.” He has a song on the Jersey Shore Soundtrack.

J Sean: His favorite type of bathing suit on a girl is one that is close to nothing, since those leave fewer tan lines.

Lea had a great time at the event!

Lucas was asked his thoughts on Twilight. He said that he wasn’t going to hate on the vampire “fad” that is going on. Out of the three big celebrity weddings over the weekend, he said that he would have wanted to go to La La and Carmelo’s wedding.

Patrick had received an email from one of his cousins regarding moving to be with her boyfriend. Patrick said that the move has to be for you. You need to ultimately be comfortable with it. The relationship may or may not work out. Have reasons for why the move works for you.

Patrick and Lea had lots of calls about this topic. Jenn in California moved for love. The relationship didn’t work, so she moved back home. She looks back on it fondly, as a life experience. Cheryl in Tennessee is a teacher. Her boyfriend was in politics, and she moved to DC with him. She wishes she had stayed behind, and followed her own dream. She brought up the point that the moving situation is different when a couple is engaged or married. Jess from Florida moved to be with her boyfriend. She said it was a tough decision to make, but she’s happy so far. She doesn’t know anyone, but she’s still doing what she wanted to do-law school. She isn’t giving up her goals, and she’s also with her boyfriend. Tabitha in DC met her boyfriend at a destination wedding. He lives across the country in Phoenix. They see each other a couple of times a month. She would move in a heartbeat. She said “If you can move for work, why not move for love?” Renee from Michigan moved for love, but got a place on her own. She was able to find herself, and move for herself. She has no regrets, and is now married.

Patrick brought up the following: when one’s significant other moves, it brings on fear of a long distance relationship or of losing the person. Moving tests the relationship. Will we be good on our own by ourselves without our friends and connections? Do what is best for each individual. When facing a move for love, you get lots of pressure from family, friends, and society, as well as judgment from others. Another great Patrick quote: “If you are asking someone for advice, it’s generally because you know the right answer.” Own your move. It will either be a great life experience, or a not so great life experience. If it’s not a good one, move back to where you were. Great conversation today!

Cocktails with Patrick Recap - Tuesday, 6/1/10

Memorial Day Weekend Patrick and Chloe went out with with Taylor and Brett this Memorial Day weekend. They went to a nice restaurant that they did not have nice reservations at but Taylor pretended they did and she used her Cosmo credentials to get them a table. Patrick was impressed with Taylor’s skills. After that they went to a membership only roof top club and Taylor worked her magic again. Patrick and Chloe also R.S.V.P.’d to Taylor and Brett’s wedding. Lea was getting over being sick and she watched Keeping Up With the Kardashians and made a trip to Target.

Does Lea Have a Boyfriend? Patrick mentions that Lea has a “date” tomorrow night with Spot (Christian) from the Rich and Covino show. Lea said it is not a date they are just hanging out as friends. They are going out to the Conan O’Brian show and they will be getting some food.

Rocky Update Rocky from Kansas sent an email to update Patrick that he had gone on a date. However it did not go well because he commented on her spray tan. Patrick thinks that might be some possible insight into why his dating life isn’t going so well.

Nipple Enhancers The visible nipple look is in right now. Victoria’s Secret even sells bras with “nipple enhancement”. Patrick wanted to know why girls hate on other girls nipples. Lea asked if Patrick would rather see nipples or cleavage. There was also a conversation about whether or not women were insecure about their nipples. A lot of women called in to say they were insecure about their nipples. The conversation then turned into padded bras and false advertising. Men wanted to know why we would false advertise because they would rather know what they are working with up front. Patrick said touching a padded bra is a weird sensation. The average size a guy is into out of a poll of 50,000 men turned out to be around 34B or C cup. One male caller said that some of the better breasts he had seen were actually A or B out of a bra.

Is it Crossing a Line if your Boyfriend/Girlfriend gets a Massage from a Coworker? General consensus was yes, this is inappropriate. If your partner is bothered by something it is crossing a line.

American Idol Recap with Dave Portnoy Since it is Sex and the City week Patrick asked Dave if he was into Sex and the City at all because of his wife. Dave said no. Dave talked about getting to meet Adam Lambert and how awesome it was. Dave is a huge Adam Lambert fan. He also hates Kris Allen. They discussed the farewell tribute to Simon and Dave said he was disappointed in the clips shown because Simon has been way funnier. Patrick and Dave said that Lee DeWyze is not a threat to any male and the reason women are into him is because he seems attainable. The general consensus was that Crystal had outperformed him and should have won. Dave said that this was his final year watching Idol because it is done after Simon leaves.

Adam Graham popped in to discuss Idol as well. Patrick asked Adam if he was a Portnoy hater. Adam is not. Adam will be in New York the second week of June and Patrick said that he will be in the studio with them every night. Adam said that he will check in on Idol next year but he won’t be following it as closely most likely. Adam agreed that Crystal should have won and he wondered whether or not Lee will be able to have any success after Idol. Patrick asked if Adam has ever watched Sex and the City. Adam said he has seen a few episodes but he isn’t into it.
