What happened to the fairy tale that was happening in this quote from RealityTea....

Stassi insists their relationship is super happy, and they are planning to get married. “ “It’s as serious as it can get. If tomorrow he proposed, I would be ready. We don’t feel the need to experience more of life. We’re settled,” Stassi tells Wetpaint. “I don’t need to meet new people.” 

I'm personally looking forward to Stassi crawling back to Vanderpump Rules now that she doesn't have a place to call home anymore. Not so much to see more of her, but to see what happens now that she's not playing house with Patrick and after she claimed to be all grown-up and embarrassed by everyone at SUR.

When Stassi and Patrick first hooked up, I figured it could go one of two different ways... either they are perfect for each other or it would be a disaster. Looks like both may have happened. You can't put two crazies together and expect a no-drama happily ever after.

I'm admittedly excited to watch the next train-wreck, I mean season, of Vanderpump. It's kind of like going out and drinking way too much one night and waking up the next morning wonder WTF you did that for.

Patrick has an announcement...

Sorry, I had to laugh when I read that he had an announcement. I feel like he was always trying to keep us on edge with "an announcement"! But I do hope to hear something fun from him and Sean since he took the time to post on the Cocks with P Facebook page.

Who is Stassi Schroeder dating, who is Stassi’s new boyfriend on Vanderpump Rules, are Stassi and Jax still together, and is Stassi leaving Pump Rules for a new spinoff? LALATE can exclusively report that in 2013, Lisa Vanderpump made moves quietly to expand her producing arm. While Lisa Vanderpump has yet to confirm yet a second show in new developments, there are new questions if she is seeking to spinoff Stassi Schroeder in a New York City based reality show for 2014. And if you think it sounds far fetched, there are more possible twists involved. First, one of Vanderpump’s producers on Vanderpump Rules previously successful spun off The Hills to The City over a decade earlier on MTV. Second, in recent months, Bravo has brought in a new development head who comes, not internally from inside Bravo, but rather from The City’s former home, MTV Networks.

Tonight fans will be asking who is Stassi dating. She says of Jax and histattoo “when I first saw it, it put pressure on me. I can’t listen to this anymore. It is really sad to hear him cry … that breaks my heart, it makes me sad.” Jax replies “The more she pushed him away, the more it made it harder. I never had a girl saw no to me before.”

Then Cohen asks Stassi who she is dating. In a Kenya Moore like moment, Stassi keeps the question unanswered during the reunion. “I am – I am feeling very happy. I could cry. He is one of the best people I ever met. He is just a fantastic person.” Stassi is dating Patrick Meagher, a Sirius XM show host.

Stassi says she only talks to Katie and her boyfriend and has no communication with the Pump cast anymore. “I don’t talk to him [Jax]. We don’t have any communication…I cut him out of my life,” she tells OK Magazine. When asked about Kristen, Stassi says “I don’t understand her at all; I never will.”

For now, while no spinoff is yet confirmed, Stassi has in fact quit Sur.

Stassi's net worth...

I came across Stassi's net worth a week or so ago, and when I first saw it, it said she was worth $15K. Sometime in the past week, her net worth has be adjusted to $30K.

These are my confessions...

I love drama. I don't like to be involved in the drama, but I love to watch train wrecks no matter how large or small, stupid or not. I watched Laguna Beach; I watched The Hills; I still watch The Real World... heck, I listen to the police scanner on my phone when nothing else is going on. It's probably the biggest reason I got into Cosmo Radio. I can't stand Patrick, but yet I tuned in when shit was hitting the fan... or at least had the potential to hit the fan. It's hard to admit, because it's exactly what he wanted.

Queue the train wreck named Stassi...

I couldn't help myself. I held out for so long. Hearing about her on Cocks with P and Wake Up made me so annoyed. Yet, I broke down and started watching Vanderpump Rules from the very first episode of Season 1. I watched one episode after another and looked forward to the next. I am more annoyed with Stassi than ever! But I can't look away! And, what's more... I can't wait to see how the hell Patrick is going to fit in to all of this.

I don't feel like this show is real life. I feel like it's The Hills with a new set of characters. The same awkward pauses, the same crazy stupid drama, the ridiculous self-righteous people... have I mentioned how annoying most of them are?

I can't help but think that Patrick was cast as Stassi's new boyfriend. He has similar looks to Jax. Patrick is needy; Stassi is needy and I can see her running all over Patrick. I want to be there for this train wreck, no matter how disastrous or hard to watch. I know I'll probably be pissed off most of the time, but I can't help it!!! To see Patrick work at SUR would be gratifying. To be able to see him get tossed around in this stupid drama will be equally gratifying.

Please tell me there are others of you feeling the same way??

Patrick told the social media world today that we can expect Cocktails with Patrick to be back on Monday (November 4th). At this point, we are speculating it is probably a podcast. No official details as of yet. Stay tuned.

End of an era...

Today Cosmo Radio will go off the air forever. Taylor, Steph and Kenny will move to Stars 106 on Monday, in the same time slot they were in on Cosmo. Patrick and Sean will move to do sports on channel 92 starting on Monday, competing with Wake Up's time slot from 7-11am (EST). Dr. Jenn will be moving all of her f-bombs over to Oprah radio.

So what channel will you be on at 7:00 Monday Morning?

I've had very mixed emotions about the news that Cosmo Radio is no more. Wake Up is going to thrive  on Stars. They can be less inhibited without the Cosmo brand. I think Kenny is really going to be able to step up and be who he really is. We love him as we've gotten to know him, but now he can really do his thang! :)

And then there is Patrick. I have been listening to both Wake Up and Cocks with P since almost day 1, I have heard Patrick through many years of shit. Way back in the day, I absolutely loved him and the show. He was compassionate and solved the world's problems. I still see that in him, but along the way he picked up some ego and I can't say I like it. He and I have had words regarding him bashing the Cosmo Radio Recap (now Cosmo Happy Hour). I think he just really likes to stir the pot. I have lots of opinions, but I'll keep most to myself.

Regardless, I still love my Cosmo family that has been built over the past 7 years. I have yet to meet any of them in person, as I haven't made it to a Cosmo Con yet. Hopefully that will change next year!

I do have to THANK YOU for visiting this blog! Nearly 275,000 visits to this blog... which I haven't been good at updating at all in quite some time. I hope to change that and post more!

Someone might think I am trying to be a replacement to the WakeUpCatchUp.com website or to Cocks With P's Twitter... that has never been the case. I completely encourage you to stay close to the shows, and their official sites. My site is for the Fake Life Fam to bond over, or that is at least my goal. Welcome to the Grand Re-Opening!

I am your host, Kelly, and I want to welcome you back to the NEW Cosmo Happy Hour. Prior to the new name, we were Cosmo Radio Recap. After a hiatus, I've come back with new vigor to create a place where our Fake Life Fam can go before, during and after our favorite shows on SiriusXM 109 - Cosmo Radio.

For those of you who are new to this site, or are unfamiliar with me... I'll introduce myself. I have been listening to Cosmo Radio for 5-6 years, slightly less than the channel has been around. I started the Cosmo Radio Recap a couple years ago (I think?) when I realized that there are a lot of listeners that are only able to listen to the shows during their commute. They ended up missing a lot of the goodness during the rest of the shows.

I quickly got to know a lot of other regular listeners, back when our "fake life family" was just in its infancy. I've been through the "afternoon head bangers club" with many of you, which was the Twitter group that would talk ish during Cosmolicious because of poor grammar, boring topics and severe misuse of common sayings. Eventually victory was ours, and Diana Falzone was no more! She really didn't represent Fun, Fearless Females very well... we are all MUCH smarter than that.

It got to the point where I needed a way to stream the shows while I was working, so I talked my husband into letting me get an iPhone. To this day, that is the only place where I get my Cosmo Radio fix. I love streaming through my phone. But I can never change my plan... I got in while AT&T had an unlimited plan for data! I think I use 7-8 GB per month!

Over time, my recaps became less and less and I just got too busy with my full time job to keep up. Some Twitter/Cosmo Radio friends helped contribute to the recap, but that also became more than each of us could do with full time work.

Along came Michelle, who has had all of the Cosmo Radio Recap accounts in her possession for several months. Recently I requested to get the accounts back from her because I had a little more time and I had new ideas for the site. Fortunately, it was perfect timing because she is now too busy at work.

And here we are... Back at it - in a whole new way... motivated by CosmoCon to reconnect with all of my old friends and make new ones, my love for the station and its shows, and also my love of blogging and keeping up with all of you.

I welcome anyone's posts... just send your note to me at cosmoradiorecap@gmail.com! Whether you want to recap a day's shows, write about your CosmoCon experience, write about your friendship with other FFFers, talk about something that inspired you, share your fashion/pop culture/etc information, or whatever... Movie Review
Patrick saw Dinner for Schmucks over the weekend. Not a fan! He gave it a rating of one star. YB said that it had no plot and was not funny-a complete debacle! Lea is bummed that Scott Pilgrim vs. the World did not do so well in the box office. She thinks that part of it may be because of the number of free premiers the movie had before the opening weekend. Lea believes that it will do better once it comes out on DVD. The Expendables was a huge hit over the weekend, as well as Eat, Pray, Love. Have you all seen these movies? What do you think of them? Patrick still has not seen Avatar =)

ShavingHair was quite the topic on Cosmo Radio today!
Do you shave your guy? Does he shave you? Is it a turn on? The calls were very interesting, and all over the board. Some found shaving their significant other sexy. Others, not so much. One guy called in and said that his ex-girlfriend had a thing for men that had no body hair. He shaved, and regrets it big time. He can’t get out of the shaving cycle-if he lets his hair grow in, it looks funny, so he has to keep shaving. One caller said that her man had an odd looking situation down there, and shaved him to make him more attractive to her. Another caller said that her boyfriend (who was quite hairy) used Nair on his chest, but the hair was too long for the product to work. She shaved him, but didn’t find it all that sexy.

Patti StangerPatti called off the engagement with her man. She wants to have children, but he didn’t. Patti says that a couple has to agree on non-negotiables. She tweeted about it…a little odd. Is that appropriate? Patrick is not a fan of that type of tweet.

Lauren came in from another studio to bring some dessert in for Patrick and Lea. Last weekend, she met a nice guy who is an excellent dancer. Date night tonight-she is meeting him for drinks later tonight (unless he gets stuck at work)! If things go well, she will consider dating him. What is Lauren’s philosophy on paying for a date? If it’s a bad date, pay your own way. She also prefers to date men who are less attractive than her. Lauren’s date tonight is not the best looking guy around, but she is very much attracted to him. Her ex was a 10, but she felt very insecure while being in that relationship. Liza from Vegas called in to compliment Lauren on her dating style-she is honest and agrees with it. Sarah called into say that she fell for her man on the dance floor. Twitter was all a buzz regarding Lauren’s dress. Some liked it, some said it was too business-like, and some were not a fan.

Do you want your significant other to be more or less attractive than you?

Research says that women typically want to be the better looking one in a relationship. A study showed that when the man is more attractive, the couple is less supportive of each other, whereas when the woman is more attractive, the couple is more willing to help each other our and be there for one another. Lindsay in Kansas thinks that a woman’s confidence and self esteem plays into this. Kaye in Jersey believes that the fear of being cheated on is a factor. In her experiences, men who have been more attractive than her have cheated, where as the less attractive were faithful. Julie has another theory on confidence. Less attractive guys that she dated were very insecure with themselves. She married a handsome man and found him to be more confident and compatible. Erin said that when the man is more attractive, the woman is very aware of it. A woman is initially attracted to the man, and he grows more appealing (personality, sense of humor, etc) to her over time. Christy has been married for 20 years. She said that the appearance of people can shift over time. When she first met her husband, he was very handsome. As they have aged, she has become the more good-looking one. There must be that underlying love for each other regardless of who is more attractive. Patrick and Lea both agreed that when a person (of either sex) is too cocky and impressed with their own appearance, it’s a turn off.

Dinner Bills-What to do?

We have all been in an awkward bill situation with another couple. Should we pay? Should we split the bill? It’s a bethos moment, for sure.

Patrick and his date rented a room to stay in the Hampton’s for Taylor’s wedding. A swimsuit was left at the residence. Emails went back and forth about getting the bathing suit back. One thing led to another, and Patrick and Chloe were invited to dinner with the renter couple last night (thinking it was at their house). They ended up going to a fancy dining establishment-pricey! The other couple ordered for them, etc. The bill comes, and the couple wants to split the bill, which was super high, especially for a Monday night! Awkward duck! On the upside, they had a wonderful time. The couple was very nice and enjoyable to spend time with.

Becky called in from Maryland. Her jaw dropped when she heard that they had to split the bill. She did have a good point-the couple must have thought that YB was well off and up for a $200 dinner on a Monday night!

This translates into dating. What do you do when a man wants to split the bill or expects you to pick up the bill? Guys, if you can’t pay for it, don’t take a gal out, especially if it’s one of the few first dates.

Rachel in NY is newly dating a guy. Should she reach for the bill? Should they go dutch? Patrick and Lea both say to make an effort to move your purse to your lap or the table. It’s very much a test for the guy. A gentleman would not accept money from you for dinner. Us fun fearless females are able to pay, but it is respectful for the man to take care of the tab-enjoy chivalry!

Why do guys NOT want you to go down there? Why do they want to go down on you?

The answer is NOT that she is not good at it.

Brian in Arizona called. He said that it could be an insecurity thing on the guys part, regarding his size. Patrick brought up the point that size is much more important to the guy, rather than the gal.

If the girl seems bored or disgusted by it, it’s a turn off. Gals have insecurities about themselves just like guys do. Appearance, time it takes, etc. This all plays into oral sex, and can put a damper on the fun!

Pamela in Canada called in. Her boyfriend will not let her go down on him. It’s a cultural thing for them. It bothers her, since she would like to. Her boyfriend, however, is against it.

Does you guy bring troubles from outside of the relationship into your relationship?

Stephanie called from Texas and said that this is not necessarily a guy thing. When she has a bad day, she brings it home. A couple is very close-when something happens to one, it has an affect on the other. Moods are somewhat attached between two people that are in a relationship. Lea wants a man to talk to her about his day and his troubles. Patrick said that a man’s reaction is to go into a cave and think about it, without help from a significant other.

Emily in New Hampshire is engaged-when her fiance brings home troubles from work etc and picks a fight, she asks him why he is taking his emotions out on her. This helps him to step back and see if the argument applies to her or not, and helps to curtail arguments that are not necessary.

Great calls, and great conversation! Be appreciative of your partner, and don’t take him for granted.

Little things-are they indicative to a healthy relationship?

Flowers, cards, gifts, we all love those! A caller said that she has been with her boyfriend for two years, and he no longer gives birthday cards. YB mentioned someone who brings his girlfriend flowers every Thursday. Patrick suggests sending flowers to the lady at work-and I totally agree! I LOVE it when my husband sends me flowers at work-so thoughtful, so beautiful, and it’s fun to show them off! Tracy said that chivalry works both ways. Both parties need to do special things for each other, whether is be a gift or doing something he would like.

Are you okay with your guy being a gamer? Tons of calls! In general, callers think that gaming in moderation is okay. When it goes overboard, not so much. That pretty much goes with anything-moderation is key.

Deep Thoughts with Kenny & Patrick today! (No announcement was made today. Y.B. is a tease.)

Kenny mentioned that he thanked Keith Powell (the guest on yesterday’s show) for being on the show with him and Greg via Twitter and Keith responded by saying that Kenny needed to get him his own show. Kenny was slightly annoyed. Kenny and Patrick were also slightly annoyed with the fact that everyone kept calling in to tell Kenny that he was doing a great job without the girls and that they “knew he could do it.” It’s not that Kenny doesn’t love the positive response, but a lot of it sounded like a back handed compliment like people were surprised that he could do it on his own.

The History of Kenny and Patrick In Patrick’s mid twenties he changed his life and moved to Charleston, SC. He used to change oil at a gas station in Mt. Pleasant. He said that while he was working he was good as long as he had radio to listen to. He has always had a huge love for radio, sports radio in particular, that he got from his dad. He used to listen to this station called The Wave. He said there was this show with a host called “Stormin’ Kenny” and he said he thought to himself “this is what radio is supposed to sound like.” So fast forward to Patrick working at Cosmo radio about 5 years ago. They were trying to find someone to host a night show with Victoria and Kate White showed Patrick Kenny’s resume and he remembered him from the radio show he listened to in South Carolina around 5 years ago. He campaigned for Kenny hard core to get hired and here we are present day. Such a great story!

Patrick and Kenny took a road trip after the Bikini Bash in Miami a couple of years ago. Kenny had a comedy show in Charleston and Patrick decided he would go with him in the rental. They stopped at Kenny’s grandma Tina’s house. Patrick said the food was delicious and she was such a sweetheart. Then about 15 minutes after they left they stopped at Patrick’s aunt and uncle’s house and hung out with Patrick’s family. Kenny said meeting Patrick’s uncle was very special to him. Patrick’s sister was also there and Kenny said he wish he’d made out with her.

Patrick said that it is a ridiculous double standard that we have in society that when men want to date younger we say they know what they want. Kenny said he wished the younger women wouldn’t let the men dip down so much. They both agreed that when men do that they are just looking for someone to have sex with and it’s more about being selfish personally.

Stef called to say that she landed a great job and her boyfriend didn’t do anything, not even a hug, to acknowledge what a big deal this was. Stef said she knows he is very busy and Patrick says not to make excuses for him at all. He said when a guy loses interest and he doesn’t even respect her anymore it is a big deal. Patrick said she needs to pull back and focus on herself. That if he’s to busy then she needs to be to busy too. She needs to give him a little fear and she doesn’t deserve the way she is being treated. Patrick and Kenny both said to all the Cosmo ladies out there that if a guy is not treating you the way you want to be treated you need to do you. If you let someone treat you badly - they will always continue to treat you badly and we all deserve better than that. You can’t keep chasing a guy for the attention you want because that feeds their ego. If they aren’t giving you what you need don’t put up with it.

Jenn called to say that her boyfriend doesn’t like that she listens to the show. They have met Kenny at his comedy shows. Her boyfriend is jealous and he thinks she has an unhealthy crush on Kenny. He told her just to move to New York to be with him. Patrick asked if she did have a thing for Kenny. She admitted that if Kenny was in the same city she would question whether or not to stay with her boyfriend. Patrick said that her boyfriend is on to something then. He asked why she would stay with someone she knows she doesn’t necessarily have strong enough feelings to be with. She said that she does love him and they have been through a lot. Patrick asked if she thought she had a chance with Kenny would she leave her boyfriend. Jenn said that wasn’t real world though. Patrick said that ultimately it was about Jenn and her boyfriend though. He said he understand that she is comfortable with her boyfriend, but isn’t she doing them both a disservice by staying with him? Kenny and Patrick both said that the more honest we are about what we want in our lives the better our lives are.

Allie called in to say that she has hung out with her boyfriend’s friends before and they called her up the other day and asked her to come out to hang out with them while he was at work. Her boyfriend was made. It is a group of male and female friends so she isn’t sure why he was so mad. Kenny asked if her boyfriend had trust issues with her. Patrick thinks there might be some issues between her boyfriend and his friends and she might be caught in the middle.

Jacqueline said that her boyfriend’s family is over to frequently and they don’t get enough alone time. She has been with her boyfriend for 5 years and she has expressed this with him and he hasn’t taken it well. Kenny said that they need to learn boundaries. She has to express to her boyfriend that he has to handle this. Patrick said he is blatantly disrespecting her by not listening to her wishes. Kenny and Patrick said there needs to be compromise in this relationship.

Fun Fearless Question with Kate White How do I manage my time better? She said that you need to have more than one To Do List and plan it out by deadline. So you would have a Master To Do List and a Daily To Do List. You can break out projects over the course of days to keep yourself on track. Kate said before you leave work create the daily To Do List for the next day. She said we have to think of it like a triage nurse in the ER and manage things by how important they are as well. Kenny says the list keeps him on track and manages him as much as he manages it.

Do Men Have a Biological Clock? Kenny said he doesn’t want to be the old dad playing ball with his son. He also said he wants to be financially secure and he doesn’t want his kids to see him fighting to get ahead, he wants to already be there. Patrick asked what was more important with Kenny - money or happiness? Does he need financial security before he can move on with someone? Kenny said no, but that he is very focused on his career right now and as soon as his is comfortable in that area he will might be ready to settle down.

Kenny said he had a plan where he wanted to meet his wife when he was young and for them to go through everything together. That was his dream. He did have a love that felt like that - but then things changed. He said now he realizes that he is happier now than he was then. Patrick asked why he never proposed to his ex that he was with for about 7 years. Kenny said the original plan was that neither of them wanted to get married. Then things changed for her and she did want to get married. The situation between them came resentful and along with other circumstances the relationship ended. Kenny did have an engagement ring and Patrick wanted to know why he never made the leap. Kenny opened up and said that he realizes now that he never fully gave himself to her. He has trust issues due to his parent’s divorce when he was younger. Kenny talked quite a bit about his parent’s divorce and the impact it had on his life. He said he never wanted to lose control so he never felt that kind of pain again. Heather called in to  say that her parents have been married for 30 years and she feels the pressure to add up to that. She sees all of her friends getting divorced and she doesn’t know how to feel. Patrick said we are all going through our own things in different ways and it’s important to remember that.

Kim called in and said that women need to realize that they can’t do all of the work to make a relationship work. Sometimes the men need to work on their own issues. Patrick and Kenny both agreed that if a man isn’t giving you want you want, by proposing etc, then the answer is that he’s just not that into you usually.
